Alessandro Paduano , actually Alessandro Scalzi (* in Florence, mentioned from 1568, † 1596 in Munich ) was an Italian Renaissance - artists who at Lambert Sustris (* 1515, † after 1591) was apprenticed, the father of Frederick Sustris (* around 1540; † 1599), and later became his son-in-law. At that time Sustris was the most important artistic personality at the Munich court under Duke Wilhelm V.and Alessandro Scalzi, called "(il) Paduano", was also recruited from Florence for the painter's workshop. His painting style differed significantly from that of his fellow painter, although he stuck to Sustri's specifications for commissioned work. He was more oriented towards Venetian painting, especially Paolo Veronese .
