Alessandro Potenza (born March 8, 1984 in San Severo ) is an Italian football player , he plays in the position of defender .
Club career
Alessandro Potenza started his career with the Inter Milan youth team . For the 2003/04 season he was loaned to the newly promoted Ancona Calcio . In the same season Inter Potenza loaned AC Parma (from 2004/05 FC Parma ). Potenza stayed in Parma until the 2004/05 season before being loaned to AC Chievo Verona . For the 2005/06 season Inter Milan loaned Potenza to the Spanish first division club RCD Mallorca . After a season in Spain Potenza moved to Fiorentina . In 2008 he joined CFC Genoa .
National team
Potenza won the U-19 European Championship in 2003 with the Italian U-19 and the U-21 European Championship in 2004 with the U-21 . He also took part in the U-21 European Championship in 2006 , but failed there with the selection in the group stage.
