Alev Inan

Alev Inan (* 1974 ) is Academic Councilor at the Chair of General Education . She has been teaching at the University of Passau since 2007 .

Life

Inan graduated from the University of Regensburg in 2001 with a degree in pedagogy, sociology and religious studies, and a year later she expanded her degree with a master's degree in pedagogy and Spanish literature. From 2005 to 2006 Inan worked on the “Media Analysis of Turkish Newspapers” project at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg on behalf of the Federal Ministry of the Interior in Austria. During this time, she also worked as a lecturer at the Regensburg University of Applied Sciences . In addition, from 2005 to 2008 she was a research assistant in the project “Islam & Media” at the chair for civil law, international private law and comparative law at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg .

In 2007 she received her doctorate from the University of Passau with her dissertation " Islam goes Internet - Islamic Organizations on the World Wide Web ". phil. She then became a research assistant at the Chair of General Education at the University of Passau, where she has been an academic adviser since 2009.

Her teaching and research areas are media education, intercultural education, migration research, educational sociology as well as society and education.
