The Catholic Sunday newspaper for Germany is a Catholic weekly newspaper. The publisher is the Augsburg media group Sankt Ulrich Verlag . It appears nationwide together with Neue Bildpost . There are also two regional editions for the Diocese of Augsburg and the Diocese of Regensburg . The sold circulation in the third quarter of 2018 was 32,059 copies, of which 15,553 copies came from the Augsburg regional edition and 10,485 from the Regensburg regional edition.
In July 2003, the Regensburger diocese newspaper , which had been independent until then, was incorporated into the Catholic Sunday newspaper. In April of the same year, the previously discontinued Catholic church newspaper for the Archdiocese of Berlin was replaced by a Berlin diocesan edition of the Catholic Sunday newspaper. In April 2014 the St. Benno-Verlag from Leipzig took over the Berlin diocese edition in its Catholic weekly newspaper Tag des Herr .
The main focus of the reporting in the Catholic Sunday newspaper is the events in the Vatican and in the German dioceses. For this purpose, the situation of Christians in different parts of the world is examined, especially in Latin America , the Middle East and Africa .
