reception

Your article Then close your blouse! of January 29, 2013 in The European , which dealt with the #Aufschrei debate, was due to its widespread use in social networks, according to the services Werben & Sell and 10000 Flies, the "Social Media Phenomenon of the Year". Danuta Szarek wrote on Focus Online about the extended version of the book Then close your blouse : “It reads as the title 'Then close your blouse' suggests: entertainingly provocative, polemical, sarcastic.” Alexander Wallasch also found it in Die Tageszeitung that Kelle's book has what it takes to " revive a debate dominated by Alice Schwarzer , Bascha Mika or Élisabeth Badinter - and actually become a bestseller," but are "attempts to explain a conservative attitude towards the new modern, [ ...] seldom succeeded convincingly. "

The then Chairman of the Council of the Evangelical Church in Germany , Nikolaus Schneider , criticized Kelle as an example for people who could do little with the term “ gender ”. He understands Kell's “outcry” against an “alleged gender mania” as a “populist pissing at conservative circles unwilling to change”. In the taz Simone Schmollack wrote that Kelle propagated "motherhood as a holy ideal of women". Andreas Kemper criticized in the taz , Kelle portrayed herself as a modern feminist, but she supported the arch-conservative legionaries of Christ . Their anti-feminism is as "old and stifling as the missionary zeal of the legionaries of Christ".
