Andreas Kemper (born April 11, 1963 in Nordhorn ) is a German publicist and sociologist . He became known through critical publications on anti-democratic tendencies in the AfD .

Life

Kemper grew up in Nordhorn, where both parents worked in the textile industry . He studied philosophy , sociology and education at the University of Münster and the Free University of Berlin . In Münster, he passed his master's degree in 2005 ; the title of the master's thesis is educational policy options for working-class children .

activities

In 2003, Kemper initiated the first general assembly of student working-class children at the University of Münster . There he founded the nationwide first AStA department for financially and culturally disadvantaged students (FikuS for short ), which deals with the self-organization of working-class children in the education sector.

In 2009, together with Heike Weinbach, he published an introduction to classicism , which was largely unknown as a term in German-speaking countries. In the following years he published two monographs on the men's rights movement .

Between 2014 and 2016, Kemper came to the conclusion in various publications that the AfD politician Björn Höcke had published texts under the pseudonym Landolf Ladig in NPD- related media that were "bluntly glorifying NS". A party exclusion procedure against Höcke initiated in February 2017 (and later lifted) is justified by the AfD federal executive board, among other things, with the alleged identity of Höcke with that pseudonym and also referred to the corresponding publications by Kemper. In 2018, the President of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution of Thuringia , Stephan J. Kramer , read out large parts of a Kemper article from the magazine Graswurzelrevolution to justify the first openly announced review of the AfD . The constitution protection report on the AfD from January 2019 followed Kemper's research and considers it “almost indisputable” that Höcke is identical with Landolf Ladig , and officially locates him as close to right-wing extremism.

From July 2017, Kemper was one of the initiators of the online project Agent * In , which was supported by the Gunda Werner Institute in the Heinrich Böll Foundation and taken offline at the beginning of August 2017. In March 2018, he started the Wiki Discourse Atlas Antifeminism as the person responsible for press law , which is considered a relaunch of Agent * in .
