Klaus Kelle (born May 28, 1959 in Bad Salzuflen ) is a German journalist , publicist and media entrepreneur .

Life

Kelle began his journalistic training with the daily newspaper Westfalen-Blatt in Bielefeld. Then he was editor-in-chief of the Hamburger Morgenpost in Bremen and was briefly appointed editor-in-chief of the Weser Report in 1988 by Klaus-Peter Schulenberg . He was the press spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group in Bremen. He later became deputy editor-in-chief of the radio station Hundert, 6 in Berlin, editor-in-chief of Berliner Rundfunk s, editor-in-chief of the Freiburger Zeitung zum Sonntag , editor-in-chief of First News in Augsburg and from 20 Minuten Cologne (until 2000) of the Swedish-Norwegian publishing group Schibsted . Most recently he worked at the Axel Springer Group as deputy editor-in-chief of Bild NRW .

In 2007, Kelle went into self-employment as a media entrepreneur and founded KelleCOM GmbH in Düsseldorf with former colleagues , and he was elected Managing Director . The company was liquidated in May 2020.

He is also editor-in-chief of the business magazine NRW.jetzt and writes guest columns for Bayernkurier , Welt am Sonntag , Focus Online , Die Tagespost , Kath.net and Die Freie Welt as well as a weekly column entitled Politically incorrect at RP Online . Kelle has been a member of the CDU since 1978 . In the federal elections in 2013 and 2017, however, he no longer voted for Angela Merkel .

Kelle is married to the journalist and publicist Birgit Kelle and has four children. The couple lives in Kempen near Krefeld on the Lower Rhine .

Klaus Kelle has been a member of the OMCT Knights Templar since 2008 .

Political commitment
