Alex Wilson (born September 19, 1990 in Kingston , Jamaica ) is a Swiss sprinter of Jamaican origin. He holds the Swiss record in the 100-meter run and in the 200-meter run .

Wilson received Swiss citizenship in 2010 and took part in the 200-meter run at the European Championships in Barcelona . In 2011 he took over the U23 Swiss record with a time of 20.51 s and qualified for the World Championships in Daegu . At the U23 European Championships he reached the final in the 200-meter run, and at the Swiss championships he won the title in the 200-meter run. At the European Championships in Helsinki in 2012 , he reached the semifinals. In 2013, he took over the Swiss record in the 100-meter run with a time of 10.12 s and qualified for the 2013 World Championships in Moscow. On May 27, 2017, he qualified in Weinheim with a new Swiss record of 10.11 seconds for the 2017 World Championships in London . At the same meeting, Kevin Widmer's almost 22-year-old Swiss record in the 200-meter run improved by 4 hundredths of a second to 20.37 s and thus also undercut the limit for participation in the world championships. On August 9, 2018, he won the bronze medal over 200 meters at the European Championships in Berlin and improved the Swiss record to 20.04 seconds.
