Rolf-Dieter Krause (born February 22, 1951 in Lüneburg ) is a German television journalist and former head of the ARD studio in Brussels, which WDR is responsible for .

Life

After graduating from the Gaußschule in Braunschweig , Rolf-Dieter Krause completed a traineeship in Lüneburg at the state newspaper . He was local editor in Unna , Kamen and Hamm and from 1981 was a correspondent for regional politics at WAZ , shortly afterwards again local editor in Dortmund. In 1982 he moved to the WDR regional studio in Düsseldorf . From 1985 to 1990 he was ARD correspondent in Bonn and from 1990 ARD correspondent in Brussels. There he became head of the studio in 1994. From 1995 he was again deputy studio manager of the Bonn studio. From 2000 he was head of programming at WDR television, and in May 2001 he became head of the ARD studio in Brussels. In August 2016 he handed over the management of the studio to Markus Preiß and retired.

Krause is once divorced and once widowed and has two daughters.
