Alexander Adlgasser

Alexander Adlgasser (born October 11, 1967 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian sommelier , restaurant manager and restaurateur.

Life

Alexander Adlgasser graduated from the Hotel Management School in Klessheim after graduating from the Musisches Gymnasium Salzburg . He then worked in Germany, France, Italy and the USA. He became known under the nickname "The Grape" in New York. In 2013 he was elected Sommelier of the Year in Austria.

Adlgasser worked at the Aubergine in Munich, the Jean Georges in New York and the Tian in Vienna.
