Alexander Alexejewitsch Lemansky
Alexander Alexejewitsch Lemanski ( Russian Александр Алексеевич Леманский ; born May 24, 1935 in Moscow , † September 26, 2007 in Znamensk ) was a Russian rocket engineer.
Life
Alexander Lemanski has worked in the Almas Central Design Office since 1958 , and in the Almas-Antei Research and Production Association since 2001 . In the 1960s he was the developer of the anti-aircraft missile system S-300P and in the 1990s general designer of the anti - aircraft and missile defense system S-400 .
Prof. Dr. Alexander Lemanski was named "Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation". In 1978 he received the State Prize of the USSR . He was a member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, today's Russian Academy of Sciences, and was honored with the Raspletin Prize.
Lemansky collapsed and died of heart failure on September 26, 2007 at the Znamensk test site in northern Russia 's Astrakhan Oblast .
