Alexander Grupp

Alexander Grupp (born May 31, 1911 in Donzdorf , Württemberg; † January 4, 2003 there ) was a German entrepreneur.

Grupp studied law at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . Since 1930 he was a member of the Catholic student union AV Guestfalia Tübingen . With his work The Double Verification he was awarded Dr. iur. PhD .

In 1947 he founded the packaging manufacturer Tubex in Rangendingen and ran this company as managing partner until it was transferred to his son Cornelius Grupp in 2000.

In 1968 he was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Austria with headquarters in Stuttgart and responsibility for the state of Baden-Württemberg and the administrative district of Swabia of the Free State of Bavaria. In 1993 he was promoted to Honorary Consul General. His son Cornelius Grupp succeeded him in this position in 1999.

The long-time Trigema owner Franz Grupp was his brother and the current Trigema owner Wolfgang Grupp is his nephew.
