Alexander Henn (Abbot)

Alexander Henn (born February 10, 1643 in Sankt Vith ; † May 20, 1698 ) was a German monk and abbot of the Benedictine Abbey of St. Maximin near Trier .

Life

From 1680 until his death he was Abbot of St. Maximin. Henn made himself u. a. earned by setting up an orderly archive of his monastery consisting of notarized copies of all old documents.

He had three brothers: Benedict (* 1661), since 1701 abbot of the Abbey of St. Martin , Wilhelm (* 1659), since 1700 abbot of the Benedictine abbey of St. Matthias and Maximin, since 1682 a monk in the imperial abbey of Echternach .
