Alexander Hennig

Alexander Hennig (born September 17, 1977 in Bonn ) is a German economist and author.

education

After high school and community service , he studied business administration at the Mannheim University of Cooperative Education , today's Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Mannheim, and economics at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. With a thesis on West German economic history during the time of the social-liberal coalition (1969–1982) he received his doctorate at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.

Professional activity

Alexander Hennig has been Professor of Business Administration and Trade Management at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University since 2008 , initially at the Mosbach site and since 2009 in Mannheim , where he heads the business administration course in trade. He is a lecturer at the European Business Academy in Madrid (Spain), the University of Applied Sciences Campus 02 in Graz (Austria) as well as the Administrative and Business Academy Wiesbaden and, as project manager of the Steinbeis Transfer Center, advises market research and marketing competence in Heidelberg companies in the retail and service sectors.

Before working as a university lecturer, he was managing director of the Executive MBA program at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and in retail. He was a lecturer at the dual universities of Stuttgart , Mosbach and Villingen-Schwenningen as well as at the University of Economics & Management in Frankfurt am Main, at the Provadis School of International Management and Technology in Frankfurt am Main and at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg.

Publications

Alexander Hennig is a specialist author of publications in the fields of marketing, management and economics as well as a reviewer for the specialist journal 'Marketing Review St. Gallen'. In the Gabler Wirtschaftslexikon he is responsible for around 600 key words from the areas of commercial management, marketing and sales policy.

In his research, his lectures as well as his television and press appearances, Alexander Hennig deals with questions of marketing and consumer behavior, with current developments and trends in retail sectors and with current economic developments.
