Alexander Heuer

Alexander Heuer (* 1954 in Bonn , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2006 to 2014 he was mayor of the city of Garbsen .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1973 , he studied in Dortmund . He completed his studies as a graduate engineer specializing in spatial planning. This year completed an urban development traineeship in the Bochum city ​​administration and the Arnsberg district government from 1979 to 1982 . He then worked in the administrations of Gifhorn , Waiblingen , Wermelskirchen and Garbsen.

In 1998 he became the town planning officer of Garbsen, which he remained until his election as mayor. He took office on November 1, 2006. In the election of June 15, 2014, Alexander Heuer was defeated by his successor Christian Grahl with 32.8 percent .
