Alexander Kalyanin ( Russian Александр Игоревич Калянин * 24. September 1987 in Chelyabinsk , Russian SFSR , † 7. September 2011 in Tunoschna in Yaroslavl ) was a Russian ice hockey player , who during his career, among others, the Traktor Chelyabinsk and Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the Superliga as well as Continental Hockey League was under contract.
Career
Alexander Kaljanin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the HK Tractor Chelyabinsk , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 2003 to 2005 . In the 2004/05 season he also made his debut for the professional team of HK tractor in the Superliga , the top Russian division. In the 2006/07 season , the winger was on the ice for the second division Disel Penza in the Wysschaja Liga .
The 2007/08 season began Kaljanin at Lokomotive Yaroslavl, but came only to eight missions for its second team in the Pervaya League, whereupon he spent the entire remaining season at his home club tractor Chelyabinsk in the super league. Since the 2008/09 season , the Russian has been running for Lokomotive Yaroslavl in the newly founded Continental Hockey League . In their premiere season he reached the playoff final for the Gagarin Cup with Lokomotive straight away , but had to admit defeat in this with his team Ak Bars Kazan in the best-of-seven series with 3: 4 wins. In the following years he became a regular at Lokomotive. On September 7, 2011, he was killed in a plane crash near Yaroslavl .

In 2011 Kaljanin took part in the Euro Hockey Tour for Russia .
