Alexander Jannasch

Alexander Jannasch (* 1947 in Ahrenshoop ) is a German lawyer who was a judge at the Federal Administrative Court from 1999 to 2012 .

Life

Alexander Jannasch was born as the son of the art historian Adolf Jannasch and the economist Alice geb. Breu. He studied law at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Freiburg . This was followed by his legal clerkship , which he finished with the second state examination in law. He then graduated from Oxford University with a Diploma in Law .

He began his professional career in 1976 at the Freiburg Administrative Court . In 1979 he completed his doctorate at the University of Freiburg on the subject of regional planning and land-use planning in England . He was delegated by the Freiburg Administrative Court to the Federal Constitutional Court and the Baden-Württemberg Administrative Court . In 1988 he was appointed judge at the Baden-Württemberg Administrative Court.

In December 1999 Jannasch was appointed judge at the Federal Administrative Court. He was a member of the 4th Revision Senate, which dealt with building and land law, spatial planning law , road and right of way and the law of the construction and operation of airfields during his term of office . He retired on November 1, 2012.

In addition to his judicial activity, he was co-editor of the administrative gazettes for Baden-Württemberg .
