Alexander Jurjewitsch Radwilowitsch ( Russian Александр Юрьевич Радвилович , in English transcription Alexander Radvilovich ; * 1955 in Leningrad ) is a Russian composer and pianist .

Life

Radvilovich graduated from the St. Petersburg State Conservatory in the composer class of Sergei Slonimski . Alexander Radwilowitsch is a member of the Russian Composers Union and Secretary of the Union of Russian Composers St. Petersburg.

He founded the New Music Festival Sound Ways in St. Petersburg and is the artistic director of this annual event. He is also the founder of the eponymous association of avant-garde musicians from Europe, Asia, the USA and Russia. In 1992, Alexander Radwilowitsch was the first Russian composer to give lectures at the International Summer Courses for New Music in Darmstadt . Since 1996 he has been a lecturer at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and at the St. Petersburg University of Social Sciences.
