Alexander Lehmann (* 1984 ) is a German graphic and video artist who became known through the political web video You are terrorist .

Life

Alexander Lehmann completed his training as a design assistant in 2005 . He then studied virtual design at the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences . Lehmann worked on the production of the Canadian production District 9 . Since then he has worked as a freelance filmmaker and author. Today he lives in Berlin.

He uses 3ds Max and various compositing programs for his productions . For his first films he used five computers for rendering . Lehmann works with the speaker Ernst Walter Siemon and sound engineers.

His first video, You are Terrorist , which Alexander Lehmann published in May 2009 on a website set up for this purpose, was shown at several film festivals and received several awards. At the end of 2009, Save your freedom followed . In July 2010, another video of him was published on the website of the NDR satire program Extra3 with Welcome to Facebook . The video criticizes the way the Internet platform Facebook handles its users' data.

Alexander Lehmann licensed all of these videos under a Creative Commons license, which permits further use under certain conditions. When the video You are a terrorist and other web videos by Mario Sixtus were deleted from the video platform vimeo after a request by the GVU , this was criticized in blogs and soon also in press reports.

In 2017, Lehmann and Schall released their film Cyberpeace instead of Cyberwar! , which was created in cooperation with the Forum Computer Scientists for Peace and Social Responsibility . The film focuses on accepting the weakening of IT infrastructure through trading in security gaps and deliberate weakening of cryptography procedures.
