Ernst Walter Siemon

Ernst Walter Siemon (* 1946 ) is a German speaker and former opera singer (bass / baritone). Siemon works as a dubbing , culture, advertising and industrial film speaker .

Life and education

Ernst Walter Siemon studied Protestant theology from 1966 to 1972 at the Philipps University in Marburg and at the Church University of Berlin and graduated with a Magister Artium .

From 1968 he took private singing lessons from 1968 with Margarethe von Winterfeldt in Berlin . His training as an opera singer ( bass / baritone ) took place privately and at the studio of the Deutsche Oper Berlin (1969–1973), where he also performed small roles on the stage of the Deutsche Oper Berlin during his training.

He then worked as an opera singer for about seven years, with leading roles mainly in Mozart : Leporello in Don Giovanni (at the Biel / Solothurn Theater ), Figaro in Figaro's wedding , Guglielmo in Cosí fan tutte ( Southeast Bavarian City Theater , Passau / Landshut), but also in works other composers, e.g. B. as Stadinger in The Armorer by Albert Lortzing and as Count in Der Wildschütz . Temporary health problems of Siemons led to the termination of the singing career.

From the beginning of the 1980s he worked as a broadcaster , first with the Hessischer Rundfunk (1981–1986), then until 1999 with the then Südwestfunk in Baden-Baden . From 1999 to 2011 he was given a permanent position at the SWR Landesfunkhaus Mainz. He has been working as a freelancer since mid-2011.

Siemon did twenty thousand radio news programs, well over a thousand program presentations. He spoke moderations , features (radio and television), many hundreds of current reports on radio and television (country shows, news feature films, magazines, etc.), voice-overs in radio and television, radio play roles , artistic speaking (e.g. poetry ), trailers , Skits , slapstick . He appeared as a speaker at public events and in television synchronizations of all kinds (in features, magazines, documentaries, documentary soaps and countless cultural contributions for Arte, ARD and ZDF as well as SWF / SWR regional television programs). Siemon also spoke for the spokesperson for various industrial and corporate films.

Today he also works as a rhetoric trainer , singing teacher and lecturer.
