Alexander Markus Homes

Alexander Markus Homes (* 1959 ) is a German book author. He mainly writes novels and non-fiction books on the subjects of home education and sexual abuse .

Life

Homes grew up in Catholic homes, including the St. Vincenzstift in Aulhausen . According to his own statements, he was the victim of various other forms of physical and psychological violence in addition to sexual abuse. He has processed his experiences in several non-fiction books and novels.

According to a report by Spiegel, the head of the Catholic children's home at the time, the later episcopal vicar Franz Kaspar , tried to take legal action against the publication of his first work . Homes' lawyer at the time was Hans-Christian Ströbele , later a member of the Bundestag for the Greens. The Hessian state government and the Catholic Caritas also tried - ultimately in vain - to prevent the broadcast of a television film about Homes' childhood. 3sat reported in a TV report from 2010 that the Catholic Church intervened against the publication of further writings by Homes.

Homes now works as a journalist.
