The Alexander Peak is a 680 m high mountain on the north end of the Haines Mountains in the Ford Ranges in West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land .
He was discovered while presumably during an overflight during the first Antarctic expedition (1928-1930) of the US polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him after Clair D. Alexander (1906-1980), a participant of Byrd's second Antarctic expedition (1933-1935).
