Alexander Reis

Alexander Reis (born January 12, 1967 in Bludenz ) is an Austrian eye surgeon.

Life

Rice graduated in Innsbruck , the study of medicine , and in 1991 Dr. med. PhD . After doing research on transplantation medicine in Montreal until 1994, he began his surgical training in the cardiac surgery department of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and continued this from 1995 in the eye clinic of the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf . After completing his specialist training in ophthalmology in 1999, he completed his habilitation in 2001 and was awarded the venia legendi .

In 2004 he was at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg umhabilitiert and was there in 2008 to Professor appointed. In 2010 he opened the first privately run clinic in the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Reis has been a member of the board of the Liechtenstein Medical Association since 2014, with responsibility for training and further education as well as quality assurance.
