Alexander Richling

Alexander Richling (born January 28, 1975 in Ellwangen (Jagst) ) is a former German athlete .

His specialty was the long jump with a personal best of 7.60 m.

The greatest competitive successes were winning the German University Championship in 1998 and the victory with the 4 x 100 meter relay of LG Salamander Kornwestheim at the German Championships 2001 in 39.32 s together with Christian Schacht , Tobias Unger and Florian Gamper .

First he started for TSV Vellberg, before moving to WGL Schwäbisch Hall in 1992 and to LG Salamander Kornwestheim in 2000. In his playing days he was 1.74 m tall and weighed 73 kg.

Even after the end of his active career, Richling is still connected to athletics and Salamander Kornwestheim.

After completing a technical degree, Richling switched to education. At the PH Ludwigsburg he studied for teaching at secondary schools. After teaching positions in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim and Karlsruhe, he is currently teaching at the Adalbert-Stifter-Realschule in Schwäbisch Gmünd . There he was appointed deputy principal in August 2011 . At that time he was the director of the Hornbergschule Mutlangen.
