Christian Schacht (born June 24, 1976 in Karlsruhe ) is a former German sprinter who specialized in the 100-meter run .

He was particularly successful as a relay runner. With the LAZ Salamander Kornwestheim-Ludwigsburg team , he was German champion in the 4 x 100 meter relay in 1999 and 2001 . His best individual result in the 100 meter run was third place at the German Championships in 2000.

The greatest success in Schacht's career was winning the bronze medal in the 4 x 100 meter relay at the European Athletics Championships in 2002 in Munich. The German team in the line-up Ronny Ostwald , Marc Blume , Alexander Kosenkow , Christian Schacht had originally reached the goal in 38.88 s as fourth behind Great Britain, Ukraine and Poland. However, the British relay team was subsequently disqualified for a doping offense by their runner Dwain Chambers , so that the German team moved up one rank. However, this decision was not made until four years later. Schacht himself had already ended his sporting career at the end of the 2002 season in order to be able to concentrate on his medical studies.
