Alexander Robert Reinagle

Alexander Robert Reinagle (born August 21, 1799 in Brighton , † April 6, 1877 in Kidlington ) was an English composer and organist.

The son of the composer Joseph Reinagle and nephew of the composer and theater manager Alexander Reinagle was organist at St. Peters Church in Oxford from 1822 to 1853 . In 1846 he married the singer Caroline geb. Orger, a daughter of the writer Thomas Orger and the actress Mary Ann Orger , with whom he regularly gave concerts. In 1830 Reinagle published Psalm Tunes for the Voice and the Pianoforte .
