Best of You is one of the best known and most successful songs by the US band Foo Fighters .

The song was written by singer, rhythm guitarist and songwriter Dave Grohl . The song can be heard on the band In Your Honor's fifth album . It reached platinum status in America and was nominated for a Grammy for best rock song in 2006. This song gave the Foo Fighters their best chart positions to date: 18th in the USA, fourth in Great Britain and fifth in Australia. The song is also often played live: it is included on the DVD Live at Wembley Stadium in an extended version as the last song of the performance.

Music video

The video was directed by Mark Pellington . In an interview, Pellington said that the death of his wife a few months before it was shot had affected the work on the video, it was also about "accepting the pain".
