Chris Shiflett (* 6. May 1971 in Santa Barbara , California as Christopher Aubrey Shiflett ), also known as Jake Jackson is known, an American rock musician .

Shiflett was the guitarist of the American punk rock band No Use for a Name . He joined the combo after they released the record Leche Con Carne .

He also plays guitar with the Foo Fighters and the band Me First and the Gimme Gimmes (punk rock cover band ). A few years ago he formed a band called Jackson United with two former members of the Face to Face group (including his brother Scott on bass ) . In the meantime, both have quit (they are listed on the band's homepage as "Lifetime Members") and have been replaced by three new musicians (including a second guitarist, Doug Sangalang from Screw 32 ).

In 2005 Shiflett first worked as an actor (outside of music videos): In the comedy Cake Boy , a film by the vandal bassist Joe Escalante, he plays a small supporting role as a bartender .

In 2010 Shiflett released his album Chris Shiflett & The Dead Peasants , on which he devoted himself to folk and country music.

In October 2012, Fender released the Chris Shiflett Telecaster Deluxe , his personal signature guitar.

His second album All Hat and No Cattle was released in August 2013 .

His solo album West Coast Town was released on April 14, 2017 .
