Alexander Sergeevich Sazepin
Alexander Sergejewitsch Sazepin ( Russian Александр Сергеевич Зацепин ; born March 10, 1926 in Novosibirsk ) is a Russian composer.
Life
His father Sergei Dmitrievich was a surgeon and his mother Valentina Boleslavovna was a Russian teacher. It was only in 1945, while serving in the army, that Alexander Sazepin taught himself to play some musical instruments. At the age of 30, he completed an apprenticeship with Yevgeny Brussilowski at the Alma Ata Conservatory . In 1958 the first film with music composed by him was released. In the 1960s he became a popular film composer in Moscow.

Alexander Sazepin composed the music for almost all of Leonid Gaidai's comedies .
For the international version of The Red Tent , his music was completely replaced by Ennio Morricone's music. His music was also replaced in The Mystery of the Third Planet .
