Alexander Voigt (bassoonist)

Alexander Voigt (born December 7, 1964 in Sondershausen ) is a German bassoonist and actor .

Life

Alexander Voigt studied bassoon with Manfred Beyer from 1981–1986 in Weimar at the Liszt School of Music , was solo bassoonist from 1986–2006 and since 2006 has been deputy principal bassoonist at the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra . 1989–2002 he was a lecturer at the Berlin University of Music "Hanns Eisler" . In addition to his chamber music and solo engagements, he was appointed solo bassoonist at the Bayreuth Festival in 2002 .

The German songwriter , author and director Hans-Eckardt Wenzel , in whose band Voigt has played the bassoon since 1995, became aware of Voigt's acting talent during productions with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra and cast him together with the tuba player Georg Schwark as moderator and reciter. In 2000, under the direction of HE Wenzel, an interpretation of Kurt Schwitters Ursonate was created , of which Alexander Voigt speaks / plays / blows / roars / raps and celebrates DIE URSONATE by Kurt Schwitters in 2004 in co-production by Deutschlandradio Kultur and Conträr -Musik Lübeck a recording was published on CD.
