Alexander von Roenne

Alexander Hermann Lebrecht Freiherr von Roenne (born December 28, 1811 in Postenden near Talsen ; † December 28, 1881 in Mitau ) was a Kurland landowner and politician.

Life

Alexander von Roenne was born as the son of the Russian major general and majorate owner Christian von Roenne . He studied at the Universities of Moscow , Bonn and Munich . In 1830 he became a member of the Corps Curonia Bonn and in 1831 of the Corps Borussia Bonn . After completing his studies, he worked as a general representative inside Russia. In 1849, after the death of his father, he took over the majorat estates of Puhren and Margraves. He was city governor of Tuckum , aristocratic marshal of the Talsen district and deputy to the Courland state parliament.
