Alexandra Alexandrovna Leonova , b. Rschewskaja ( Russian Александра Александровна Леонова , born Ржевская; born September 4, 1964 in Pyatigorsk , Stavropol region , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Russian basketball player who competed for the Soviet Union.

On September 28, 1988, Alexandra Leonova won the bronze medal with the Soviet team at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul .

In 1987 Leonova was European champion with the Soviet team.

In 1986, 1987 and 1988 she won the Soviet championship with Dynamo Novosibirsk.

In 1987 and 1988 she was with Dynamo Novosibirsk in the final of the Euroleague Women .

Since the end of her sporting career, Leonova has been working in the Federal Migration Service of Russia (FMS) in Novosibirsk .

Private

Leonova has been married to Andrej Jurjewitsch Leonow since 1987. The couple has two daughters, Darja and Jekaterina.
