Alexandra Riley (born April 13, 1991 in Philadelphia ) is an American tennis player .

Career

Riley has so far mainly played on the ITF Women's Circuit , where she has already won a tournament in doubles.

Riley played her first professional tournament in May 2007 in Los Mochis , Mexico , and in June 2008 she reached the round of 16 at the $ 25,000 tournament in Waterloo, Canada . From July 2008 she was listed in the top 1000 of the individual world rankings. From 2009 to September 2013 she never got past the first or second round of a tournament before reaching the quarter-finals in Tlemcen, Algeria . Until February 2015, she did not get beyond the second round at most before she was able to reach another round of 16 in a $ 25,000 tournament in Cuernavaca, Mexico . Then she reached her highest position in the individual world rankings with 691th place. In doubles, however, Riley has already been in at least ten semi-finals of an international professional tournament, of which she reached a final twice, one of which she won in October 2015 with her partner Freya Christie.
