Alexandre Bolduc (born June 26, 1985 in Montréal , Québec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was under contract with the Kölner Haien in the German Ice Hockey League until April 2018 .
Career
Alexandre Bolduc began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian junior league QMJHL , where he was active from 2001 to 2005 for the Huskies de Rouyn-Noranda and Cataractes de Shawinigan . During this period he was selected in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft in the fourth round as a total of 127th player by the St. Louis Blues . After this did not sign him in the following years, the center signed in the summer of 2005 with the Manitoba Moose , for whom he has since played in the American Hockey League (AHL). In his first two seasons in Manitoba he ran parallel for the Moose farm team , the Bakersfield Condors , in the ECHL .
On July 2, 2008, Bolduc signed as a free agent a contract with Manitoba's cooperation partner Vancouver Canucks , for which he made his debut in the National Hockey League during the 2008/09 season . Until the end of the 2010/11 season, the Canadian played alternately for the Canucks in the NHL and the Moose in the AHL.
On July 2, 2011, Bolduc agreed on a one-year contract with the Phoenix Coyotes . In July 2013, he signed a one-year contract with the St. Louis Blues , where he was only used with their AHL farm team, the Chicago Wolves . After a season he returned to the Coyotes, which were now known as Arizona Coyotes , and continued to play mainly with the Portland Pirates in the AHL.
In June 2015, Bolduc left North America for the first time and joined HK Traktor Chelyabinsk from the Continental Hockey League before moving to the Croatian KHL representative Medveščak Zagreb . On February 1, 2017, he moved to the Kölner Haien in the German Ice Hockey League .
International
For Canada , Bolduc took part in the U18 Junior World Championship in 2003 , where he became world champion with his country.
