Alf-Gerd Deckert (born July 4, 1955 in Halle (Saale) ) is a former German cross-country skier . He was multiple GDR champion and started as the only GDR cross-country skier at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid . There his best placement was the 9th place over 30 km. He also finished 37th over 15 km and 26th over 50 km. After the Olympics, he ended his active career.

Alf-Gerd Deckert is the older brother of the ski jumper Manfred Deckert . He was married to the Olympic champion in swimming Petra Thümer .
