Alfons Kirchgässner (politician)

Alfons Kirchgässner , also: Kirchgäßner (born October 25, 1901 in Karlsruhe , † October 10, 1990 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German farmer , administrative officer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

The qualified farmer Kirchgässner worked as a civil servant in the Baden Ministry of Finance, most recently as a ministerial advisor. From 1926 to 1927 and from 1930 to 1931 he was a member of the Reichsrat .

After Lambert Schill's resignation , Kirchgässner served from July 14, 1948 to April 25, 1952 as Minister of Agriculture and Food in the government of Baden , which was headed by President Leo Wohleb . Following his ministerial work, he was head of the Freiburg Agricultural Office until 1966.
