Alfred Bauberger
Alfred Bauberger ( February 22, 1866 in Krumbach - May 18, 1937 in Munich ) was a German opera singer ( baritone ).
Life
Bauberger was the son of a general practitioner. During his studies he became a member of the Academic Choral Society Würzburg in the Sondershäuser Association . After graduating from university, he worked as a dentist in Augsburg for three years , but then decided to use his beautiful voice for the stage and entered the Munich Conservatory. Dramatic lessons were given to him by Karl Johann Brulliot and vocalists Cesare Galliera and Dr. Hague.
After completing his training, he made his debut on April 26, 1891 as a speaker in the " Magic Flute " at the Court Theater in Munich, to which institute he has belonged since that time. He was in possession of brilliant vocal materials, successfully represented the subject of the first baritone, in which, according to his predominantly calm temperament, he performed serious parts such as "Wotan", "Amonasro", "Speaker" (Magic Flute) particularly effectively. The wide range of his voice enabled him to play roles that have a bass-baritone character, such as "King Heinrich" in " Lohengrin "; a virtue that makes him one of the most useful members of opera.
He stayed there until his retirement in 1926.
