To date, Bekker has published more than 350 novels and around 1000 short stories in all genres of entertainment literature, which often appear in multiple editions and sometimes as translations in other European countries.

He established himself successfully as the author of fantasy novels under titles such as The Realm of the Elves , The Kings of the Elves and The War of the Elves ; Gorian-The Legacy of Blades , Gorian-The Guardians of Magic and Gorian-In the Realm of Winter as well as in the children's and youth book area, where he mainly took on historical and fantastic material. In this area he established book series such as Da Vinci's Cases , Tatort Mittelalter , Das Fußball-Boardat or Ragnar the Vikings and wrote individual titles such as Raid on the Dragon Ship .

He originally came from the fields of science fiction and fantasy , but was initially successful in other genres such as westerns , crime fiction and horror due to the market situation . However, through his involvement in the science fiction series Sternenfaust , Ren Dhark , Bad Earth , Titan Star Adventure and SYNDIC (together with Perry Rhodan author Conrad Shepherd ), science fiction had become the strongest single division in Bekker's work for a number of years.

A fantasy novel for the role-playing game Midgard appeared under the title The Gate to Ta-Meket , after he had previously published fantasy novels Andrala - The Sub-town , The Search for Dhum and Ax Warrior - The Wanderer . He was the author of the horror series Jessica Bannister and for about eight years he has been writing Jerry Cotton magazines and paperbacks, as well as non-series crime novels and thrillers. The first three volumes of the crime series Tatort Mittelalter, conceived and written by Bekker, were published by Verlag Carl Ueberreuter .

He also developed the story for a crime game , a subspecies of live role-playing games .
