Alfred Braunschweiger
Alfred Braunschweiger (born October 16, 1885 in Stuttgart ; † June 29, 1952 there ) was a German diver from the Schwaben Stuttgart swimmers' association .
In 1903 Braunschweiger was together with Waldemar Riemann German all-round champion in water jumping.
At the 1904 Olympic Games in St. Louis , diving in the middle of the World Exhibition was played from a board about three and a half meters above the pool, although originally there was no board at all. Two participants from the host country took part, George Sheldon and Frank Kehoe , as well as the three Germans Georg Hoffmann , Alfred Braunschweiger and Otto Hooff . The judges rated Sheldon 12.66 points, Hoffmann 11.66 points, Kehoe and Braunschweiger 11.33 points each, followed by Hooff, whose score is not known. A dive-off for third place should be jumped out between Kehoe and Braunschweiger , which the German team management refused. In most sources, Kehoe is now listed as the only third-placed.
