Alfred Ebeling

Alfred Ebeling (born December 22, 1857 in Braunschweig ; † October 27, 1931 there ) was a German banker .

life and work

Attending high school in his hometown was followed by an agricultural apprenticeship and studies at the agricultural college in Halle (Saale) . Ebeling worked as an estate inspector before he emigrated to Bosnia . There he founded the German colony Rudolfstal and was a farmer and colonizer there until 1890. In 1901 he planned a spring group trip for the German and Austrian Alpine Club to Bosnia. After his brother's death, he returned to Braunschweig to manage his father's bank, which had existed since 1858. Ebeling did volunteer work in many areas of welfare work in Braunschweig. He administered various foundations and promoted the construction of Protestant church buildings in Bosnia. He worked in Braunschweig as deputy district chairman and poor carer. He was a volunteer in the First World War .
