Live and act

Flury attended primary school in Wangen bei Olten and the grammar school in the St. Fidelis college in Stans (Matura 1954). After studying theology at the Lucerne Seminary , he was ordained a priest and first worked as a vicar in Grenchen , then as a religion and singing teacher at the St. Michael College in Zug . He had already made his first record while studying theology; numerous other songs were written in Zug, including a. the familiar Let the little things . As Kaplan Flury , he was widely known as a religious song singer, across denominational boundaries. From 1967 he lived in his parents' house again and, in addition to his performances, devoted himself to youth work and drug prophylaxis . On October 6, 1971, the Kaplan Flury Foundation (today: aktion-nodrugs) was created, which serves youth welfare (today's slogan: clean is in - we are committed to healthy, drug-free youth with a future. ). Here, too, Flury knew no national or religious borders. His work shifted to the creation of youth workshops, lectures in front of large companies and individual pastoral care and welfare (life counseling), whereby his father's house became an open house . He published several books on the drug problem. Alfred Flury died on April 6, 1986 as a result of a stomach and intestinal problem.
