Alfred Heideloff
Alfred Heideloff (born September 13, 1802 in Weimar , † September 18, 1826 in Paris ) was a German painter.
Life
As early as 1814, Alfred Heideloff received lessons from his father, the theater and decorative painter Carl Heideloff in Weimar. Around 1821 he began studying at the drawing institute in Weimar and also trained with the court architect Carl Friedrich Christian Steiner . From 1824 Heideloff was an assistant to the decorative painter Carl Wilhelm Holdermann . In 1825 he took part in the painting of the court theater in Weimar, in 1826 he traveled to Paris with the support of Grand Duke Carl August von Sachsen-Weimar . There studies with Pierre-Luc-Charles Cicéri and André-Marie Chatillon . As a result of a brain inflammation, Heideloff died in Paris in 1826 five days after he had turned 24.
Goethe had expressed appreciation for Heideloff's drawings and sketches .
