Alfred Jonas

Alfred Jonas (born June 22, 1903 in Opole , † after 1944) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

After attending preschool and grammar school in Breslau , Alfred Jonas was a volunteer in the Upper Silesian Self-Protection from 1921 to 1923 . For his achievements during this time he was awarded the Silesian Eagle in both classes. From 1923 to 1925 he worked as an office assistant and traveler.

From 1925 to 1931 Jonas was active in the Breslau city mission. He then attended the People's Care School in Spandau from May 1931 to March 1933 . In July 1933 he received state recognition as a public nurse. In the period from August 14, 1933 to May 30, 1934, Jonas earned his living as a travel agent and as a special investigator at the Welfare Office in Wroclaw District 7.

In June 1930 Jonas joined the NSDAP ( membership number 291.730). On July 1, he also became a member of the NSBO (membership number 186,594). For the party he worked as a training speaker since 1931. In August 1933 he became a speaker for the National Socialist Welfare Association and in May 1937 Gau speech for the NSDAP. On September 6, 1933, Jonas was given leave of absence from the NSDAP's Office for People's Welfare in the district of Breslau-Stadt, where he worked as a department head for the winter relief organization until April 6, 1934 . From April 7, 1934 to June 5, 1934 he acted as managing director of the Office for People's Welfare in the Wroclaw district.

From June 6, 1934 to March 15, 1936, Jonas was the district manager of the NSDAP's Office for People's Welfare in the Breslau-Stadt district. On March 15, 1936, he was appointed district leader of the NSDAP in the Hindenburg district.

From October 1, 1935 to March 15, 1936 he was councilor of the city of Breslau. In addition, he sat from October 1, 1935 to March 15, 1936 on the advisory board for the welfare office, the youth welfare office and the institutions of the health department of the city administration of Wroclaw. Furthermore, since May 8, 1936, he was a representative of the NSDAP at the city administration of Hindenburg in Upper Silesia. Since January 1938 he was also an assessor in the Honorary and Disciplinary Court of the German Labor Front in Gau Oberschlesien, where he became honorary judge in August 1938.

From March 1936 until the end of the Nazi regime in the spring of 1945, Jonas was a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 9 (Opole) .
