Alfred Lange (economist)

Alfred Lange (born May 13, 1927 , † November 15, 1975 ) was a German economist . From 1963 to 1969 he was rector of the Berlin School of Economics (HfÖ).

Life

Long graduated from the pre-study institution in Halle (Saale) , the High School . He then took up a degree in economics, which he completed with a degree in economics. He then worked as an assistant and main director of the VVB brick and building materials industry. From 1953 to 1961 Lange was a member of the Central Committee of the SED . 1957 doctorate he attended the University of Leipzig to Dr. rer. oec.

From 1958 he was a research assistant and later head of the working group on the economy of industry and management methods at the economic commission of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the SED. In 1961 he started teaching at the HfÖ. He completed his habilitation at the HfÖ and worked from October 1963 to 1969 as Rector of the HfÖ, as Director of the Institute for Socialist Scientific Organization and then as Deputy Director of the Socialist Economics Section and as Vice-Rector for Research.
