Alfred Lippschütz

Alfred Lippschütz (born October 1, 1922 in Nauen ; † September 20, 1996 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Lippschütz initially trained as an electrical mechanic . After the Second World War he became an administrative employee and joined the SPD in 1945. In 1948 he was arrested by the Soviet Military Administration in Germany (SMAD) for belonging to the SPD and sentenced to 25 years of forced labor. Lippschütz had to spend eight years in the Soviet Union . After his return to Berlin in 1956, he was able to continue his work. From 1957 to 1960 he attended the administration school in Berlin, which he completed with the administrative examination II. In 1964 he became a civil servant .

In the Berlin election in 1963 Lippschütz was elected to the district assembly in the Tempelhof district, from 1969 he was the chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. In 1975 he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives, to which he was a member until 1985. At times Lippschütz was the chairman of the Committee on Home Affairs, Security and Order in Parliament.
