Alfred Poellath

Alfred Pöllath (born December 18, 1916 in Dettnach , Markt Kastl , † October 4, 1996 in Amberg ) was a German politician ( BP ).

Life

Pöllath completed primary school in Kastl and then an apprenticeship as a craftsman. He worked as a journeyman. He also attended agricultural courses and worked on agricultural goods. In 1939 he started his own business as a haulier and timber dealer. During the Second World War he was used as a soldier on the Eastern Front.

In the constituency of Upper Palatinate he was elected to the Bavarian state parliament in 1954 and re-elected in 1958. He was a member of the state parliament until 1962. During this time he was a member of the committee for submissions and complaints, the committee Bavaria Palatinate and secretary of the committee for border issues. In the 4th legislative period from 1958 to 1962 he was first secretary of the state parliament presidium. In 1959 he was a member of the 3rd Federal Assembly . In addition, from 1955 to 1962 he was a member of the Prison Advisory Board of Amberg Prison . Together with teacher Siegl, businessman Prinz, warehouse manager Metzner and doctor Dr. Kraus, he organized the first Kastler Schweppermannspiel through the tourist association at the beginning of the 1950s .
