Geunitz is a district of the Reinstädt municipality in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

Geunitz is located at the confluence of a small side valley in the Reinstädter Grund , southwest of Reinstädt. Only the layers in the ground are agriculturally easy to work on. The other areas of the district are consistently tractor not easy to edit. The surrounding area is well suited for tourism .

history

The first documentary mention was recorded for February 1084. The place was and is characterized by agriculture. The St. Elisabeth Church was renovated during the GDR era . The partner community in Alfdorf helped . The sculptures of Maria are said to have been made around 1400 .
