Alfred Schöffler

Alfred Schöffler (born March 6, 1929 in Eschenau ; † June 27, 2017 in Obersulm ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg .

Life and work

After graduating from primary school in Eschenau, Alfred Schöffler completed an apprenticeship as a painter. In 1953 he passed the master's examination . Schöffler was married and had a daughter.

politics

In 1962 Schöffler joined the SPD. Three years earlier he had been elected to the town council of Eschenau, to which he belonged until the place was given up in 1972. Afterwards he was a member of the council of the newly founded municipality Obersulm until 1999 . In the same period he was a member of the Eschenau local council and was mayor from 1975 to 1999 . From 1971 to 1999 he was also elected to the district council of the Heilbronn district. In 1984 he became a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , of which he was a member until 2001. Schöffler represented the Neckarsulm state electoral district and was the winegrowing and forestry policy spokesman for the SPD state parliamentary group.
