Alfred Schliestedt

Alfred Schliestedt (born November 28, 1921 in Berlin , † April 22, 1963 in Schöningen ) was a German educator and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending school, Schliestedt initially did Reich labor service , was then drafted into the Wehrmacht , and from 1941 to 1945 took part in the Second World War as a soldier . He then completed a pedagogical university course, entered the school service and in 1961 became rector of an elementary school.

Political party

Schliestedt joined the SPD in 1946. He had been chairman of the SPD district association Helmstedt since 1957 and was elected chairman of the local sub -district in the same year.

MP

Schliestedt was a council member of the city of Schöningen since 1948 and a member of the district council of the Helmstedt district since 1952 . He was a member of the German Bundestag from September 29, 1961, when he replaced the resigned MP Walter Harm , until the end of the 1961 electoral term. He was drawn into parliament via the Lower Saxony state list.
