Alfred Unolzen

Alfred Unwinkel (born December 5, 1890 in Kirchremda , † October 18, 1978 in Erlangen ) was a German physicist and entrepreneur.

In 1919, Alfred Unartikel and the glassblower Otto Kiesewetter founded a factory for the manufacture of X-ray tubes in Rudolstadt . He pushed the development of X-ray tubes. His invention - the application of high-temperature radiation cooling at rotating anode X-ray tubes in 1933 - was a groundbreaking technical innovation, which is also in rotating anode tubes of current design is applied.
